Jiayi Ding

Jiayi Ding is a performance designer specialising in set and costume design. She is passionate about contemporary performance and scenography, with a focus on creating concise and conceptual designs that capture the essence of a narrative, evoke deep emotions behind the content, and create a connection between the audience and the work through visual and sensory means. Jiayi is interested in the dynamic interplay of spatial elements to develop a poetic modern visual language that resonates with contemporary aesthetics and transforms space into art. She is keen to continue to expand the possibilities of performance as a fluid and dynamic art form, particularly in the context of contemporary theatre and dance.

Jiayi Ding is trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama for BA (Hons) in Design for Performance.
